all-season-drought-tolerant-tall-fescue-grass-seed-20kg
All Season Tall Fescue Grass Seed 20kg – Drought Tolerant, Hard Wearing, Low Maintenance Ryegrass Alternative

A 20kg 100% fescue grass seed mixture suitable for areas that require wear tolerant grass that receives little maintenance, such as golf tees, low maintenance football pitches, cricket outfields with high wear and family lawns. It provides an attractive, hard wearing, low maintenance alternative to perennial ryegrass mixtures. The use of two tall fescue cultivars ensures that the mix will cope well with extremes of heat, drought and occasional waterlogging, thanks to their ability to develop roots to depths of over 1m.

Mixture Composition

%

Cultivar

Species

25

Debussy

Tall Fescue

75

Essential

Tall fescue

All cultivars chosen in this mixture are independently tested and rated for performance.

*Cultivars may vary.

Key Features

Able to cope with extremes of heat, drought and occasional waterlogging

Hard wearing, low maintenance alternative to ryegrass mixtures

Directions for Use

Sowing Rate (g/m2)

Overseeding Rate (g/m2)

Mowing Height (mm)

25 - 35

25

Down to 10

Sowing guidance

Prepare the surface before sowing, making sure that:

Stones and weeds are removed.

There is sufficient drainage.

The surface is level and firm.

The surface is moist.

Sow the seed evenly at the correct sowing rate, to a depth of approximately 10mm.

Keep the surface moist for at least 2 - 3 weeks.

Make the first cut when the grass is 5 - 6cm tall and tillering has started.

Overseeding guidance

Prepare the existing turf by removing excess thatch and limiting irrigation and fertilisation.

Apply at the correct overseeding rate.

For best results use a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.

Packaging may vary.

Please note: occasionally shortages of some varieties may occur, so unavailable varieties may be replaced with a suitable alternative.
