It combines three cultivars of chewings fescue with three cultivars of slender creeping red fescue to produce a first class fine turf sward. Chewings fescue is known for its high shoot density and tolerance to close mowing, while the creeping red fescues reproduce rhizomatously, further increasing sward density, wear tolerance and the ability to regenerate after damage. The mix is especially useful for oversowing early and late in the season as part of a sustainable golf management programme, and now benefits from a top rated slender creeping red fescue.

Packaging may vary.

Mixture Composition

%

Cultivar

Species

15

Bogart

Chewings fescue

35

Esparina

Chewings fescue

20

Absolom

Slender creeping red fescue

30

Sarolea

Slender creeping red fescue

*Cultivars may vary.

Key Features

Ideal for renovating tees, greens and fairways

Fast establishment

Excellent year round colour

Highly disease resistant

Coated seed to aid growth and establishment

Directions for Use

Sowing Rate (g/m2)

Overseeding Rate (g/m2)

Mowing Height (mm)

35 - 50

15 - 25

Down to 6

Sowing guidance

Prepare the surface before sowing, making sure that:

Stones and weeds are removed.

There is sufficient drainage.

The surface is level and firm.

The surface is moist.

Sow the seed evenly at the correct sowing rate, to a depth of approximately 10mm.

Keep the surface moist for at least 2 - 3 weeks.

Make the first cut when the grass is 5 - 6cm tall and tillering has started.

Overseeding guidance

Prepare the existing turf by removing excess thatch and limiting irrigation and fertilisation.

Apply at the correct overseeding rate.

For best results use a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.

Please note: occasionally shortages of some varieties may occur, so unavailable varieties may be replaced with a suitable alternative.
