Rhizomatous slender creeping red fescue and browntop bent reproduce vegetatively, spreading through the perennial ryegrass to develop a dark, dense and attractive sward. The perennial ryegrass cultivar used is the key to the mixture and is particularly noted for its slow regrowth, significantly reducing mowing requirements and costs. It establishes rapidly to provide a dense and attractive reduced maintenance surface.

Mixture Composition

%

Cultivar

Species

60

Claudine

Perennial ryegrass

35

Sarolea

Slender creeping red fescue

5

Highland

Browntop bent

*Cultivars are subject to availability, and may differ from that listed.

Key Features

Slow regrowth resulting in reduced mowing costs

Ideal for a range of landscaping situations

Produces a dark, dense and attractive sward

Directions for Use

Sowing Rate (g/m2)

Overseeding Rate (g/m2)

Mowing Height (mm)

35 - 50

25

12 - 50

Sowing guidance

Prepare the surface before sowing, making sure that:

Stones and weeds are removed.

There is sufficient drainage.

The surface is level and firm.

The surface is moist.

Sow the seed evenly at the correct sowing rate, to a depth of approximately 10mm.

Keep the surface moist for at least 2 - 3 weeks.

Make the first cut when the grass is 5 - 6cm tall and tillering has started.

Overseeding guidance

Prepare the existing turf by removing excess thatch and limiting irrigation and fertilisation.

Apply at the correct overseeding rate.

For best results use a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.

Packaging may vary.

Please note: occasionally shortages of some varieties may occur, so unavailable varieties may be replaced with a suitable alternative.
