Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the turfcarepro.co.uk website and to all orders placed through it. The website and store are operated by Express Matting Services Ltd., trading as Turf Care Pro, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07000887), whose registered trading address is Unit 1B, Summit Works, Manchester Road, Burnley, Lancashire, BB11 5HG, United Kingdom. VAT registration number GB987256073. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Express Matting Services Ltd., and "you" means the customer. Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. We deliver to United Kingdom addresses only. By placing an order you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete and that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.

2. Our products

We supply grounds care, turf care, landscaping, sports, safety and outdoor maintenance products to both trade and domestic customers. We make every effort to display our products accurately; however, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, and minor specifications may change from time to time. Product weights, dimensions and coverage rates are approximate.

Chemicals and plant protection products: Fertilisers, weed killers, fungicides, pest control and similar products must always be stored, handled and used in accordance with the manufacturer's label and instructions and with applicable law. Products authorised for professional use only may only be purchased for use by persons holding the required certificates of competence (or working under the appropriate supervision); by ordering such products you confirm that this requirement is met. We may decline or cancel an order where we reasonably believe this requirement is not met.

3. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We may decline an order — for example where an item is out of stock, where a price has been listed in error, or where we cannot verify certification for professional-use products. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you and, where payment has been taken, refund you in full. If we discover a genuine pricing error before dispatch, we will contact you and give you the choice of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the current UK rate. Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £9.99 per order and is shown separately at checkout before you commit to purchase. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Payment is taken at checkout and processed through Shopify's secure, encrypted payment system; we do not see or store your full card details. Prices and promotions may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already confirmed.

5. Delivery

Delivery is to United Kingdom addresses only, normally within 3–6 working days of dispatch, as set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes when we have received payment in full. If an event outside our reasonable control delays delivery, we will contact you as soon as possible and take steps to minimise the delay; we are not responsible for delays caused by such events, but if the delay is substantial you may cancel and receive a refund for goods you have paid for but not received.

6. Cancellations, returns and faulty goods

Consumers have a 14-day right to cancel most orders, and all customers have legal remedies for faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Full details, including the products excluded from change-of-mind returns (such as opened chemicals), are in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

7. Your use of the website

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the website by introducing viruses or other malicious material, attempting unauthorised access, scraping content, or using it to transmit unsolicited advertising. All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos and design — is owned by or licensed to Express Matting Services Ltd. and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit it without our prior written consent. Product names and third-party brand names remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Reviews and feedback

If you submit reviews, suggestions or other content to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content in connection with our business. You confirm your content is your own, is accurate, and is not unlawful, offensive or misleading. We may remove content at our discretion.

9. Relationship with Shopify

Turf Care Pro is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our store are made directly with Express Matting Services Ltd. (trading as Turf Care Pro). By using this website, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and us, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services, and you release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with us.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to the above: we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was made, losses not caused by our breach, or business losses (including loss of profit) where you buy as a consumer. Where you buy as a business, our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we exclude all implied terms to the fullest extent permitted by law. You are responsible for using products — in particular chemicals and equipment — in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions; we are not liable for damage caused by misuse or failure to follow the label.

11. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure by us to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us in relation to your use of the website and your orders.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on this page. The Terms in force at the time you place an order apply to that order.
