2L Herbicide for Amenity Grassland and Lawns
This is a professional selective herbicide for broadleaved weed control in amenity grassland, lawns and managed amenity turf. Its systemic, penetrant formulation combines 2.5g/L florasulam with 100g/L fluroxypyr and is applied at a low rate of 2L/ha.
Key Features
- Systemic penetrant, selective herbicide
- Proven formulation containing the actives florasulam and fluroxypyr
- Low application rate of 2L/ha
- Low water volume, even when applied by knapsack (200L/ha water)
- Controls broadleaved weeds, including slender speedwell
- Suitable for newly established turf from the 2 leaf stage
- One application per year permitted at 2L/ha
How to Use
When to Use
- Application window: March - October
- Apply while weeds are actively growing and the soil is moist
- Make sure newly sown turf is established before treating:
- Turf sown in spring or summer can be treated at or after the two leaf stage (normally about two months)
- Turf sown in late summer or autumn should not be treated until growth starts again the following spring
Mixing
- Fill the spray tank with half of the water needed
- Add the required quantity of herbicide
- Agitate the tank so the contents mix thoroughly
- Top up the tank with water to the required level

| Knapsack | 1 per year | 20ml/100 m² | 2L/100 m² | Medium |
Applications
Suitable for tees, fairways, stadia pitches, sports pitches, outfields, racecourses/gallops and lawns.
- Amenity grassland: semi-natural or planted grassland given minimal or non-intensive management, such as golf roughs, airfields, mainly grassed railway embankments and roadside verges.
- Lawns: any area made up mainly of close-mown grass, including lawns in private gardens.
- Managed amenity turf: frequently mown, intensively managed turf, including fields used for turf production; this can cover public areas such as all types of sports turf, golf greens, tees and fairways.

Active Substances
Florasulam
Mode of action: florasulam is an ALS (acetolactate synthase) inhibitor. Acetolactate synthase is a key enzyme in the production of branched-chain amino acids; blocking it causes the plant first to turn chlorotic, then its tissues become necrotic, and finally the whole plant dies.
Mobility: taken up by both shoots and roots. As a systemic penetrant it moves down the plant in the phloem (sugar-conducting tissue) and up the plant in the xylem (water-conducting tissue).
Timing: ALS inhibitors work best on actively growing weeds and are more effective on young plants in their vegetative stage.
Fluroxypyr
Mode of action: fluroxypyr is a synthetic auxin (plant growth regulator) herbicide. It triggers rapid, abnormal cell growth in the stems, petioles and leaves of susceptible plants, causing cells to burst and the plant to die.
Mobility: taken up through the shoots. As a systemic penetrant it moves down the plant in the phloem (sugar-conducting tissue) and up the plant in the xylem (water-conducting tissue).
Timing: synthetic auxins work best on actively growing weeds and are generally more effective on younger plants in their vegetative stage.
Notes
- Do not mow for three days before or three days after application
- Grass clippings can be used as mulch from the third cut after application
- Leave at least four weeks between treatment and re-seeding the turf
- Keep the spray away from non-target plants
