30cm/45cm ULV Sprayer

This is a hand-held ULV (ultra low volume) weed sprayer that saves both labour and herbicide. Its spray width can be set anywhere from 15-45cm simply by turning the spray hood, and it applies herbicide neat with no water or dilution needed.

How It Works

The sprayer applies herbicide neat at 2L/Ha, a 50% saving compared with conventional sprayers, while dramatically cutting labour, pesticide use and cost, with clear environmental benefits. Its 500ml capacity of neat herbicide is enough to treat 2,500-5,000 square metres.

Range Details

• The nozzle is switched on at the press of a button, allowing spot spraying.
• Herbicide flows by gravity from the tank through the valve to the nozzle.
• One battery charge lasts approximately 8-16hours.

Advantages over Conventional Sprayers

• No water or dilution required: no need to stay close to a water supply or walk long distances to refill.
• Much lighter: most of a knapsack sprayer's weight is water. On average 15kg of water weight is saved per refill, and these systems weigh only around 3.4kg when fully filled.
• Five times the coverage rate of herbicide compared with a knapsack sprayer: Ultra Low Volume Droplet Application (ULV) technology produces far smaller, highly uniform droplets that greatly improve coverage.
• Pays for itself: higher coverage and no time spent refilling with water mean the savings on herbicide and labour can cover the cost of the sprayer within just a few weeks of use.
• Virtually no spray drift: the spray shields together with ULV technology all but eliminate drift, so spraying close to cultivated plants and water is straightforward.
