5L/10L Growth Regulator for Plant Management
This liquid turf growth regulator is based on trinexapac-ethyl. Rather than simply slowing vertical growth, it redirects the plant's energy downwards into the roots, building food reserves and encouraging lateral stem growth for a denser, healthier sward. Available in 5L and 10L packs.
Key Features
- Simple-to-use liquid formulation
- Reduces grass top growth
- Diverts growth into the root system, increasing food reserves and lateral stem development
- Produces a thicker, healthier sward better able to cope with temperature extremes, moisture loss, traffic and general wear
- Assists with the management of Poa annua
- Application rates can be adjusted to suit every type of turf surface
- Enhances turf colour and appearance
- Reduces how often you need to mow: a single application can cut grass clippings by up to 50%
- Less mowing means less wear and tear on machinery
How to Use
Begin applications once the turf is actively growing. It can be applied using knapsack sprayers, hand sprayers, boom sprayers and spray-gun application equipment. The programmes below are typical programmes; adapt rates and timings to suit local conditions.
Typical Fairway and Tee Programme
Apply at 4 - 6 week intervals.
| Application 1 | Application 2 | Subsequent Applications | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth regulator rate | 0.4 - 0.8 l/ha | 0.8 - 1.2 l/ha | 0.8 - 1.2 l/ha |
| Minimum nitrogen input per application (N) | 2.5 kg/ha | 2.5 kg/ha | 2.5 kg/ha |
| Application Volume (l/ha) | 250 - 400 | 250 - 400 | 250 - 400 |
For fairway/semi-rough and greens programmes, think about adjusting granular fertiliser rates to allow for the extra nutrient applied through the leaf. Continue applying through to October to build up carbohydrate reserves and improve disease tolerance over winter. Up to a maximum of 2.4 l/ha may be used on rye-grass fairways or tees, and 1.6 l/ha on fairways and tees made up of Poa, bent grass and Fescue.
Typical Greens Programme
Apply at 14 - 28 day intervals as appropriate.
| Application 1 | Application 2 | Subsequent Applications | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth regulator rate | 0.2 l/ha | 0.2 - 0.4 l/ha | 0.2 - 0.4 l/ha |
| Minimum nitrogen input per application (N) | 2.5 kg/ha | 2.5 kg/ha | 2.5 kg/ha |
| Application Volume (l/ha) | 250 - 400 | 250 - 400 | 250 - 400 |
Rough and Semi Rough Programme
Apply at 4 - 6 week intervals as appropriate, to help manage peaks in rough growth.
| Application 1 | Application 2 | Subsequent Applications | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth regulator rate | 0.6 - 0.8 l/ha | 1.2 - 1.6 l/ha | 1.2 - 1.6 l/ha |
| Minimum nitrogen input per application (N) | 2.5 kg/ha | 2.5 kg/ha | 2.5 kg/ha |
| Application Volume (l/ha) | 250 - 400 | 250 - 400 | 250 - 400 |
Up to a maximum of 3.2 l/ha may be used in rye-grass roughs, and 2.4 l/ha in roughs made up of meadow grass, Fescue and bent grass.
