5L Herbicide for Control of Perennial Broad-Leaved Weeds

This fast-acting 5L herbicide controls tough perennial broad-leaved weeds, including Japanese knotweed, ragwort, broad-leaved dock, creeping thistle, spear thistle, common nettle, creeping buttercup, dandelion, mugwort and brambles, in amenity grassland. It contains aminopyralid, so a Stewardship Agreement must be fulfilled as a condition of sale.

How to Use

Broadcast Application

• Apply at 2.0 L/Ha in 200-400L of water to control broad-leaved dock, curled dock, creeping thistle, spear thistle, common nettle, creeping buttercup, dandelion, mugwort, Japanese knotweed, ragwort and bramble.
• For good coverage of the weeds, apply in a spray volume of 200 litres of water per hectare.
• Where the weed population is high and the grass is dense at the time of spraying, a higher water volume of 250-400 litres per hectare may be needed.

Spot Treatment

• For localised treatment with a suitable lance from a knapsack or tractor-mounted sprayer, mix 100 ml of the herbicide per 10 litres of water.
• Wet the weeds thoroughly with the solution, but do not spray to the point of 'run-off', as this reduces activity.
• Anvil nozzles are recommended to prevent drift.
• Take care to avoid local overdosing.

Applications

Perennial weed control on amenity grassland, including railway embankments, industrial areas, under powerlines, cemeteries, utilities, parkland, around greenkeeper sheds, golf course roughs and grassland areas of no agricultural interest.
