5L Liquid Trace Element Complex for Rapid Uptake
This 5 L liquid trace element complex supplies six essential plant micronutrients, topped up with nitrogen and sulphur, in ratios balanced for optimal grass growth. The nutrients are organically chelated with carboxylic acids to maximise fast uptake and movement within the plant.
Key Features
- Six essential micronutrients – iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron and molybdenum – plus nitrogen and sulphur
- Purposely balanced ratios for optimal grass growth
- Organically chelated with carboxylic acids for rapid uptake and translocation
- The specialised chelating agents also help the plant access bound nutrients already present in the soil
- Acts as a metabolic shortcut to help establish healthy growth, particularly in spring
How to Use
| Applicator | Application Rate | Water Volume | Pack Size (Litres) | Pack Coverage (m²) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Boom Sprayer | 2.5 - 5 ltr/ha | 200 ltr/ha | 5 | 20,000 - 10,000 |
| Knapsack | 0.25 - 0.5 ml/m² | 20 ml/m² | 5 | 20,000 - 10,000 |
- Half fill the sprayer with clean water, add the concentrate as required, then keep mixing thoroughly while topping up with the remaining water.
- Use a suitably calibrated sprayer and apply evenly, taking care not to overlap or miss areas.
- Irrigate the treated area thoroughly if no rain falls within 2 days of application.
- Do not apply during hot, dry weather or in frosty conditions.
What is a Chelate?
The word chelate (pronounced 'key-late') comes from the Greek χηλή (chele), meaning claw, because the chelating molecule wraps around the central molecule much like a lobster's claws. In practice, a chelating agent is an organic molecule that encapsulates a plant nutrient molecule and stops it from precipitating out, which would otherwise make the nutrient unavailable. The change in surface properties of the chelated molecule makes the encapsulated ions far more likely to be absorbed through the roots and leaf tissue, so the applied nutrient is used more efficiently.
