5L Total Weed Killer Non-Selective Herbicide
SKU TCP753
Overview
This is a professional-use, non-selective contact herbicide supplied in a 5L pack. It contains 500g/L fatty acids (pelargonic acid) and controls broad-leaved plants, moss and grass weeds.
Key Features
- Non-selective contact action against broad-leaved plants, moss and grass weeds
- Contains 500g/L fatty acids: pelargonic acid
- Effective for Horsetail control when tank mixed with a glyphosate herbicide
- Authorised for up to four treatments per year
- Emulsifiable concentrate formulation for professional use
- Contact acting only, with no systemic or residual activity
How to Use
When to Use
Treat while weeds are actively growing and the ambient air temperature is above 15°C. Best results come from a morning application when no rain is forecast. Recommended application window: April to September.
Application
- Apply to small broad-leaved and grass weeds at an early growth stage; thorough wetting of the leaves is essential for the best results.
- Use a hydraulic or knapsack sprayer, choosing a nozzle that delivers the stated water volume with a medium to coarse spray quality (BCPC definition).
- Use a spray pattern that gives good coverage of the larger weeds being targeted. Results are best where weeds are small (under 10cm tall).
- As a contact herbicide it only affects the parts of the plant it touches, so the whole weed must be treated; leaf areas shaded by, for example, other weeds will not be affected.
- How long control lasts depends on weed size and the weather at the time. Perennial weeds may regrow, as the product has no systemic or residual activity.
- Half fill the applicator with clean water, add the concentrate as required, then mix thoroughly while adding the rest of the water.
- Apply evenly, avoiding overlaps and missed areas. Do not apply in hot, dry weather or in frosty conditions.
Horsetail Control Tank Mix (per 10L water)
- This herbicide: 1000ml
- Glyphosate (360g/L): 230ml
- Apply with a handheld lance at 1 bar pressure using a blue 03 nozzle
