5m Steel Lawn Edging - Various Depths

This permanent steel lawn edging is supplied as a 5m pack (5 x 1m strips), available in 75mm, 100mm and 125mm depths and in Brown, Slate, Green and Black. It is quick to install and needs no further maintenance once in place.

How to Use

1. Begin by forming a new edge or re-cutting your existing one. The edge can be straight or curved.
2. Position the edging where it is needed. Lay a block of wood on top of the edging and hammer it into the ground until it sits roughly 15mm below the level of your cut grass. Curve or bend the edging as needed.
3. Join each strip by locking it onto the previous piece. Below the locking piece is a tongue, which should be pushed through the hole using a screwdriver.

A lawn edging iron can be used to help with installation. In poor ground conditions, a Pin & Sleeve System can be used to anchor the edging securely.

For most lawn-to-path or lawn-to-flowerbed jobs the 1.6mm version is the preferred choice. Where vehicle traffic is possible, heavier-duty 2.5 mm versions are more suitable.

Notes

• Because the edging overlaps and interlocks, add 6% to the length you actually need, which is 6 cm for every metre of edging used.
• Galvanised steel can have sharp edges. Take extra care when installing in properties with children or pets.
