600ml/3L Insecticide 200 g/l Chlorantraniliprole
This is a professional insecticide containing 200 g/l chlorantraniliprole for controlling chafer grubs and leatherjacket larvae in turf. These pests cause serious damage in two ways: directly, as the grubs and larvae feed on grass roots, and indirectly, when birds and mammals tear up the surface searching for them. Used within a proactive integrated turf management programme, it gives excellent control of both.
Key Features
- Contains 200 g/l chlorantraniliprole
- Gives effective control of damaging insect pests in turf, including chafer grubs and leatherjackets
- Suitable for use as part of an integrated turf management strategy
- Controls young grubs and larvae, reducing damage in the current year
- Residual action: applied before egg hatch, the active substance moves down into the rootzone in time to control young grubs and larvae as they emerge
- Available in 600ml and 3L packs
Applications
It can be used against leatherjackets and chafer grubs across a wide range of turf surfaces, including:
- Sports pitches
- Golf greens, tees and fairways
- Golf roughs
- Racecourses and gallops
- Bowling greens
- Airfields
- Lawns
Where to use
Approved for use on managed amenity turf and amenity grassland:
- Amenity grassland*: semi-natural or planted grassland that receives minimal or non-intensive management
- Managed amenity turf*: frequently mown, intensively managed turf, including all kinds of sports turf and golf greens, tees and fairways
*The total surface area treated must not exceed 10% in any given situation.
How to Use
When to use
Apply before the eggs hatch, when numbers of adult chafer beetles or craneflies are at their peak. Monitor adult numbers to work out the best application timing for the particular pest species present on each site.

Rates and coverage
| Quantity | Pack Coverage | Maximum Treatments | Application Rate | Water Volume | Application Method |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Mixing and application
The insecticide can be applied with a knapsack sprayer or a vehicle-mounted boom sprayer:
- Fill the spray tank half full with water
- Add the required quantity of insecticide and agitate to mix it thoroughly
- Top up with the rest of the water while continuing to agitate
- Check the solution is fully mixed and use it straight away
- After spraying, clean all spray equipment inside and out with three rinses of clean water
Active Substance: Chlorantraniliprole
- Bio-chemical mode of action: chlorantraniliprole is in the ryanodine receptor modulator group. These act on the ryanodine receptor in the insect's muscle making it leak calcium which leads to paralysis and death of the insect.
- Mobility: chlorantraniliprole is mainly toxic to insects once they have ingested it.
- Application timing: best applied to coincide with young, actively feeding larvae.
- Resistance: because it acts on a single target mechanism, insects can become resistant to it. To prevent this in chafer larvae and leatherjackets, good practice is: do not use more than two applications of insecticides from the same mode of action group per generation against the same insect species on a crop; do not use less than the label rates of this product; and target the most susceptible insect life stages wherever possible.
