Overview

This product is a natural treatment for algae and blanket weed in ponds and lakes. It contains six species of naturally occurring bacteria, specially chosen to lower the phosphate and nitrate levels in the water that feed the growth of aquatic algae and blanket weed. This improves the look of the water and encourages a better balance of plant and animal life within it.

Where to use

Enclosed waters with little or no outflow, such as ponds and lakes

When to use

For the best results, begin early in the growing season once water temperatures are above 10°C and before algae or blanket weed appear (around March)
Keep applying once a month until water temperatures fall below 10°C (around October)
If blanket weed or algae is already present at the start, the treatment can be applied once a week for one month

Calculate how many sachets are required using the formula below: Gently squeeze the bottle until the measuring chamber contains 10ml of liquid Pour the liquid from the measuring chamber into a watering can or bucket of water to dilute Distribute the contents of the watering can or bucket over the pond and directly onto the algae or blanket weed If there is no water movement gently agitate the surface of the water to aid even distribution

Notes

Sachets dissolve on contact with water, releasing trillions of nitrate and phosphate consuming bacteria
Switch UV lights off for at least the first seven days after treatment
Leave fountains and other water aeration features running throughout the treatment
