Garden Glyphosate Weed Killer 1L – 360g/l Systemic Weed & Grass Killer for Home Gardens (MAPP 17672, Treats 600m²)
A professional-strength glyphosate weed killer containing 360g/l glyphosate in a soluble concentrate, authorised for non-professional use in private gardens (MAPP 17672). It controls emerged annual and deep-rooted perennial weeds and grasses cost-effectively, and is ideal for clearing weed-covered ground before planting or sowing.
Key Features
- Controls weeds and grasses after contact with the leaves, then moves systemically through the plant to control not just the top growth but also the roots
- Broken down by soil microbes, so it has no lasting effect on treated ground and you can cultivate or plant as early as 7 days after application
- Applied at 6l/ha (0.6ml/m²), the 1 litre bottle treats up to 600m²

How to Use
Where to use
Unwanted vegetation: any unwanted vegetation, including unwanted plants in private gardens.
When to use
Apply once grasses and broad-leaved weeds have emerged, are actively growing and have enough leaf area to absorb the spray (normally March to October). Perennial broad-leaved weeds are generally most susceptible at or near the flowering stage, and perennial grasses must have produced fresh, green, vigorous leaves.
How to apply
| Crop | Maximum Treatments | Pack Coverage | Application Rate | Water Volume | Application Method | Spray quality |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Unwanted vegetation | 2 per annum | 600m2 | 0.6ml/m2 | 25ml/m2 | Knapsack sprayer | Medium - coarse |
- Add half the required water to the sprayer tank.
- Add the required amount of weed killer.
- Top up with water to the required level and agitate to mix thoroughly.
- Use immediately.
Additional Information
- Avoid contact with non-target plants.
- At least 6 hours, and preferably 24 hours, without rain must follow application.
- Treat established perennial weeds at the start of flowering for best effect.
- Do not spray in windy conditions.
- Weeds may show the first effects from a few days up to 4 weeks after application, depending on the weather and type of weed.
- Leave treated weeds for at least 7 days before cultivating.
- Some tough weeds (e.g. ground elder) may need a repeat treatment after 3-4 weeks if regrowth appears.
- Do not use on lawns.
Active Substance: Glyphosate
Bio-chemical mode of action: glyphosate belongs to the Inhibition of Enolpyruvyl Shikimate Phosphate Synthase (EPSPS) group of herbicides, which work by shutting down the shikimate pathway the plant uses to produce the proteins it needs to grow and survive.
Mobility: glyphosate is a systemic penetrant, so it is carried downwards through the plant in the phloem (sugar-conducting tissues) and upwards in the xylem (water-conducting tissues).
Application timing: these herbicides work best on actively growing weeds and are generally more effective on younger plants in their vegetative phase.
Resistance: as of 2018, resistance had been identified in 38 weed species across 37 countries, in 34 different crop and 6 non-crop situations.
