How to Use

Cutting process

1. Release the top pin, keeping an eye on the built-in spirit level
2. Raise the tool and use its weight as a slide hammer
3. Guide the downward stroke to drive the blade into the ground
4. Repeat until the required depth is reached
5. Re-engage the top pin
6. Twist the tool gently from side to side
7. Lift straight up to remove a clean core

Troubleshooting

• Hard to penetrate: check the blade is sharp, check the soil conditions and make sure the correct technique is being used
• Uneven cuts: check the spirit level, confirm the tool is vertical and keep the pressure consistent
