Wireless Weather Station with Solar Sensor - Remote Data

This wireless standard weather station with solar sensor (remote data package) provides remote data through a self-powered cellular gateway with a pre-installed SIM. The gateway links to the wireless weather station and to optional standalone sensor nodes, each able to take up to 4 additional sensors, and several nodes can be added to give full sensor coverage across a golf course, sports arena or other large site.

How to Use

• Siting is important: avoid mounting the weather station (or any connected sensors) on a building or roofline. An open, flat position is best, so that readings reflect the conditions of the areas you want to monitor.

Applications

Data the weather station can generate, and what it is used for:

• E.T (Evapotranspiration) and rainfall data - soil moisture status and plant stress (irrigation requirement - soil moisture deficit / surplus)
• Minimum and maximum air temperature - grass and insect growth model (daily growth degree days - daily growth potential)
• Leaf moisture status (if sensor fitted) - dew intensity for spraying, dew removal and disease pressure
• Relative humidity and dewpoint - disease activity data (Dollar Spot Model - real-time disease pressure indicator)
• Rainfall data - mm per hour and time of maximum rainfall - flooding events, bunker wash-outs on golf courses, etc.
• Wind data, maximum gust and time of maximum gust - spray windows, tree fall incidents, health and safety
