Professional Rotary Spreader - 30kg Hopper, Stainless Steel Frame, 4.5m Spread
This professional rotary spreader is made to the demanding standards of turf management. It pairs well with granular fertilisers, such as spring and summer 9-7-7 turf fertilisers, and it also spreads grass seed and wildflower seed evenly.
Key Features
- Stainless-steel frame: a tough build that stands up to regular use and harsh conditions for dependable, long-term service.
- Maintenance-free gearbox: delivers smooth, consistent running with very little upkeep and never needs greasing.
- 30kg capacity hopper: its shape helps granules flow freely down to the impeller, stopping clumping and keeping material moving steadily.
- Pneumatic turf tyres: spread the machine's weight evenly to avoid marking the turf and roll smoothly over different surfaces.
- Ergonomic handle: designed for comfort to cut down operator fatigue on longer jobs.
- Removable rain cover: keeps the product protected when spreading in poor weather.
- Granule placement system: gives an accurate application every time (explained below).
- Open/shut-off control: makes it simple to start and stop the flow of material and work more efficiently.
- Integrated front handle: allows the spreader to be lifted safely and easily for transport and handling.
- 3 year warranty: the spreader is covered by a three year warranty.
Granule Placement System
This advanced system spreads granular fertilisers evenly and precisely, giving a consistent, uniform result on every application.
The system sits beneath the hopper and places granules onto the impeller according to their size and weight. Bigger or heavier granules are fed towards the centre of the impeller so they pick up enough centrifugal force to be thrown properly. Smaller, lighter granules are dropped nearer the outer edge of the impeller, where less force is needed to spread them evenly. Because each type of granule is handled correctly, the spreader produces an ideal spread pattern and even turf health.
How to Use
- Check the spreader before use: inspect it carefully to make sure it is clean and that no debris is left from a previous job.
- Check the material: make sure the product is in good condition, flows freely and is suitable for use in a precision rotary spreader.
- Set the aperture: with the on/off lever in the closed position, choose the granule placement setting by selecting the letter that matches the fertiliser being spread. Then pick the required application rate on the 1 to 25 scale on the handle and lock the setting screw at that number.
- Fill the hopper: keep the control lever in the off/closed position while filling, and fill the hopper evenly. Always fill it somewhere safe, where any accidental spill will not cause damage.
- Spread the material: walk briskly at around 5km/h, keeping the impeller parallel to the ground at all times. With the upper gauge and the lower granule placement gauge set where you need them, push the on/off lever on the handlebar forward to the setting stop as you start walking. Always start moving forward at the same moment you push the lever to the on position. At the end of each run, pull the lever back to zero to stop the flow and stop spreading. Spread width differs between fertiliser types, so always check the spread width of the product to get the correct spacing.
- Clean the spreader after use: empty out any product left in the spreader once the job is finished and dispose of surplus material correctly. Turning the spreader upside down is the best way to empty the hopper; some extra work may be needed to clear any remaining material. Rinse the hopper thoroughly with clean water, especially around the agitator and the underside of the hopper. Drying off the excess water is recommended, and the spreader should not be used again until it is dry.
