Rotary Seed and Fertiliser Spreader

This is a galvanised steel rotary seed and fertiliser spreader that delivers an even spread pattern anywhere from 2 to 6 metres wide. Application rates can be set precisely, and as well as fertiliser it handles grass seed and sand, with a 25kg hopper and large wheels that push easily without leaving tread marks.

How to Use

• Move the main shut-off lever to the closed position before you fill the hopper
• Begin pushing the spreader forwards before you open the ports, and shut the ports before you come to a stop
• Keep the hopper level by holding the handle correctly – tilting the spreader too far forwards or backwards gives an uneven spread
• Use the swath width recommended on the product bag for this spreader at 3mph (a brisk walking pace), and always apply while pushing forwards – do not pull the spreader
• Treat the settings on the product label as recommended starting points
• The start/stop lever closes off the right-hand part of the swath width; use it in the 'on' position with the auxiliary shut-off in the closed position
• Fit the supplied hopper cover to protect the turf product in the hopper from light rain or wind while transporting
