Controlled Release Turf Fertiliser 38-0-0 (2-3 Months) 20kg – Polymer Coated High-Nitrogen Granules
A 20kg 38-0-0 (2-3 months) controlled release fertiliser for amenity turf. Its polymer coated granules give extended longevity with a consistent nutrient release pattern: once applied, each granule takes up moisture from its surroundings and gradually dissolves the nutrients inside.
How It Works
At soil temperatures just above 0°C, pressure starts to build up within the granule, forcing the nutrients through the semi-permeable resin coating. The thicker the coating, the slower the daily release rate and the longer the product lasts, so nutrient is released accurately to match turf growth requirements. Combining the resin coating with a second coating technology in the same analysis gives improved nitrogen release characteristics and better low temperature performance.
Working Principle of a Resin Coated Granule
| Granules contain NPK, B, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo and Zn (Mg is added for specific products) | Water penetrates through the coating and dissolves the nutrients inside the granule | The nutrients are released at a constant and controlled rate during longevity |
Key Features
- Longevity: 2-3 months
- Turf response: 7 days
- Granule dispersal: 7 days
- Flexible base feed – can be used at lower rates and supplemented with additional nutrients as required
- Nitrogen released only in favourable conditions for turf grass growth, helping to pre-stress condition the plant
- Controlled release nitrogen that matches plant requirements to give continuous growth over 4-5 months
- Designed for specific growth stages, so nutrients are released at the optimum rate according to plant requirements
- Contains iron to enhance colour
