20kg Fescue and Bent Seed for Golf Greens

Overview

This grass seed is a 20kg golf and bowling greens mixture of fine fescue and browntop bent cultivars that creates a fast, sustainable green with high tolerance of close mowing. The rhizomatous slender creeping red fescues and browntop bents give a fine, dense sward with excellent disease resistance.

How to use

From bare soil to a playing surface

Sowing Guidance

Prepare the surface before sowing, making sure that:
- Stones and weeds have been removed
- Drainage is adequate
- The surface is level and firm
- The surface is moist
Spread the seed evenly at the correct sowing rate, to a depth of about 10 mm.
Keep the surface moist for at least 2 - 3 weeks.
Give the first cut once the grass reaches 5 - 6 cm and has begun tillering.

Overseeding Guidance

Prepare the existing turf by taking out excess thatch and cutting back on irrigation and fertiliser.
Apply at the correct overseeding rate.
For the best results, use a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.
