20kg Grass Seed for Roughs and Embankments
SKU TCP1346
Overview
This mixture is formulated using the latest research to look attractive when left uncut. Its open sward won't slow play unnecessarily and allows wild flower meadow species to regenerate naturally. The chosen species regrow very slowly, cutting maintenance costs, and as many of them are rhizomatous the mix is also well suited to embankments.
Applications
- Golf course roughs
- Embankments
- Areas with restricted access

How to use
From bare soil to a playing surface
Sowing
- Get the surface ready before sowing: clear away stones and weeds, check that drainage is adequate, and leave the ground level, firm and moist.
- Spread the seed evenly at the recommended sowing rate, to a depth of roughly 10 mm.
- Keep the surface moist for a minimum of 2 - 3 weeks.
- Take the first cut once the grass has reached 5 - 6 cm in height and tillering has begun.
Overseeding
- Prepare the existing sward by clearing excess thatch and cutting back on irrigation and fertiliser beforehand.
- Apply at the recommended overseeding rate.
- For the best results, sow with a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.
