Overview

This is a 20kg, 100% fescue grass seed mix that offers an attractive, hard-wearing and low-maintenance alternative to perennial ryegrass mixtures. Its two tall fescues can root to depths of over 1 m, so the sward copes well with extreme heat, drought and occasional waterlogging.

How to use

From bare soil to a fine lawn

Sowing Guidance

Before sowing, prepare the surface so that:
- stones and weeds have been cleared
- drainage is adequate
- the surface is level and firm
- the surface is moist
Spread the seed evenly at the correct sowing rate, to a depth of about 10 mm.
Keep the surface moist for a minimum of 2 - 3 weeks.
Take the first cut once the grass reaches 5 - 6 cm in height and has begun tillering.

Overseeding Guidance

Get the existing turf ready by removing excess thatch and cutting back on irrigation and fertiliser.
Apply at the correct overseeding rate.
A disc seeder or studded seed roller gives the best results.
