20kg Fescue & Bent Seed for Golf Greens & Tees

Overview

This is a 20kg fescue and browntop bent grass seed mixture that forms a fine, dense sward. With a high proportion of rhizomatous, creeping species it tolerates close mowing, and it makes a good alternative to the traditional 80/20 mixture for constructing, overseeding, renovating and repairing high quality greens and tees.

How to use

From bare soil to a playing surface

Sowing Guidance

Prepare the surface before sowing so that:
- stones and weeds have been removed
- drainage is adequate
- the surface is firm and level
- the surface is moist
Spread the seed evenly at the correct sowing rate, to a depth of about 10 mm.
Keep the surface moist for at least 2 - 3 weeks.
Take the first cut once the grass reaches 5 - 6 cm and tillering has begun.

Overseeding Guidance

Prepare the existing turf by clearing excess thatch and reducing irrigation and fertilisation.
Apply at the correct overseeding rate.
For the best results, use a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.
