This is a good-quality, economical grass seed mixture that gives excellent results when renovating sports fields, delivering great results and value. Its tetraploid perennial ryegrass speeds up establishment, and its deeper roots improve disease resistance and drought tolerance.
The inclusion of Double tetraploid ryegrass brings fast establishment, better colour, drought tolerance, nitrogen efficiency and outstanding disease resistance. The mixture uses only UK listed cultivars.

From bare soil to a playing surface
Sowing
- Before sowing, prepare the ground so that stones and weeds have been cleared, drainage is adequate, the surface is level and firm, and the soil is moist.
- Spread the seed evenly at the recommended sowing rate, to a depth of roughly 10 mm.
- Keep the surface moist for a minimum of 2 - 3 weeks.
- Carry out the first cut once the grass reaches 5 - 6 cm in height and has begun tillering.
Overseeding
- Get the existing turf ready by taking out excess thatch and cutting back on irrigation and fertiliser.
- Apply the seed at the recommended overseeding rate.
- For the best results, use a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.
