Overview

This is a versatile grass seed mixture that forms an extremely hard-wearing sward with high shoot density, suitable for both winter and summer games. A tetraploid perennial ryegrass speeds up establishment, and its deeper roots also improve disease resistance and drought tolerance.

How to use

From bare soil to a playing surface

Sowing

Before sowing, prepare the ground so that stones and weeds have been cleared, drainage is adequate, the surface is level and firm, and the soil is moist.
Spread the seed evenly at the recommended sowing rate, to a depth of roughly 10 mm.
Keep the surface moist for a minimum of 2 - 3 weeks.
Carry out the first cut once the grass reaches 5 - 6 cm in height and has begun tillering.

Overseeding

Get the existing turf ready by taking out excess thatch and cutting back on irrigation and fertiliser.
Apply the seed at the recommended overseeding rate.
For the best results, use a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.
