Playing Fields Grass Seed with Clover 20kg

Overview

This sports grass seed mixture for playing fields was created to raise turf quality while lowering environmental impact. The clover it contains fixes nitrogen naturally, so less fertiliser is needed to keep the turf in good condition, reducing input costs. The resulting sward offers good wear tolerance, disease resistance and colour, and copes especially well with drought and other high-stress conditions.

How to use

From bare soil to a playing surface

Sowing

Before sowing, prepare the ground so that stones and weeds have been cleared, drainage is adequate, the surface is level and firm, and the soil is moist.
Spread the seed evenly at the recommended sowing rate, to a depth of roughly 10 mm.
Keep the surface moist for a minimum of 2 - 3 weeks.
Carry out the first cut once the grass reaches 5 - 6 cm in height and has begun tillering.

Overseeding

Get the existing turf ready by taking out excess thatch and cutting back on irrigation and fertiliser.
Apply the seed at the recommended overseeding rate.
For the best results, use a disc seeder or a studded seed roller.
