25kg Granular Fertiliser 16-7-15 +2%MgO Slow Release
SKU TCP715
Overview
This 16-7-15 +2%MgO product is a 25 kg granular slow-release fertiliser. It combines two slow-release nitrogen sources with nitrate and ammonium nitrogen, giving four nitrogen sources that together release steadily over four months and cut nutrient losses through leaching.
Key Features
- Four nitrogen sources (two slow-release sources, nitrate and ammonium) for a consistent slow release lasting 4 months
- Reduced nutrient loss from leaching
- Phosphorus encourages root and shoot development, making it a good choice for pre-seed fertilising
- High potassium content supports general plant health by keeping cells turgid and helping water move through the plant
- 2% magnesium to boost photosynthesis and encourage a natural green colour in the turf
- Fine granules suitable for cutting heights down to 6 mm
- Every granule contains all the nutrients, giving an even result across the surface
- Nutrient balance is also well suited to ornamental plants, shrubs and trees
How to Use
When to use: apply at any point in the growing season for a long-term, balanced supply of nutrients, or use it as a slow-release pre-seed fertiliser to promote better rooting and longer-term growth. Application window: March to October.
| Use Type | Application Rate (g/m²) | Bag Coverage (m²) | Bags Per Hectare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Turf (established) | 30 - 50 | 833 - 500 | 12 - 20 |
| Turf (pre-seed) | 40 - 60 | 625 - 417 | 16 - 24 |
| Ornamental and amenity plants | 30 - 80 | 833 - 313 | 12 - 32 |
- Spread evenly with a suitable, calibrated fertiliser spreader, avoiding overlaps and missed areas
- For pre-seed and ornamental plant applications, the product can be worked into the top 10-15 cm of soil
- If no rain falls within 2 days of applying, water the treated area thoroughly
- Avoid applying in hot, dry weather or in frosty conditions
Applications
- Managed amenity turf: frequently mown, intensively managed turf, including fields used for turf production, all types of sports turf such as football, rugby and cricket pitches (minimum mowing height 6 mm), and ornamental turf (minimum mowing height 6 mm)
- Amenity vegetation: any semi-natural or ornamental vegetation, including trees
- Ornamental garden plants: plants not intended for consumption, including those grown in private gardens
