How to use
From bare soil to a fine lawn
Best sown in April - May and August - September; March and October are also possible when conditions allow.
- Only sow once the soil is warm enough for the seed to germinate.
- Prepare the surface, then sow at the correct rate and depth for this mixture (see specifications).
- A disc seeder or studded seed roller gives the best results.
- If rain is not expected soon, water the area until the top 10mm of soil is wet, without letting water pool.
- Keep the surface moist, but not waterlogged, for at least 2 - 3 weeks.
- Make the first cut once the seedlings have three leaves, taking off no more than one third of the leaf height.
- Carry on cutting 1 - 2 times per week, again removing no more than one third of the leaf height each time, and gradually bring the grass down to the height of cut you want.
