Glyphosate Total Herbicide 1L – 360g/l Systemic Weed Killer for Grasses & Broad-Leaved Weeds (MAPP 17380)
A professional foliar-applied, systemic penetrant total herbicide containing 360g/l glyphosate (MAPP 17380). The glyphosate moves systemically within the plant to give highly effective control of unwanted vegetation, including annual and perennial grasses and most broad-leaved weeds, during phases of active growth.
Key Features
- Blend of two surfactants reduces drift and makes the spray rapidly rainfast
- Enhanced retention, uptake and translocation deliver more glyphosate to the growing points for superior long-term weed control
- 1 litre covers 0.1ha to 0.8ha at 1.3-10L/ha

How to Use
Where to use
It can be used in a wide range of situations, including those below (see the product label for other uses):
- Amenity vegetation: any areas of semi-natural or ornamental vegetation, including trees.
- Enclosed waters: any natural or artificial body of water that does not drain to a watercourse.
- Forest: groups of trees growing in their final positions, e.g. after planting out from a forest nursery.
- Grassland (destruction): land grown for grass production, including short- and long-term leys and permanent pasture, which may be grazed and/or cut for animal consumption.
- Hard surfaces: any man-made impermeable surface not intended to bear vegetation, such as concrete or asphalt, including railway ballast.
- Land immediately adjacent to aquatic areas: the bank of any watercourse or body of water.
- Open waters: any natural or artificial body of water that drains to a watercourse or is used as a reservoir for domestic water supplies.
- Permeable surfaces overlying soil: any man-made permeable surface (excluding railway ballast), such as gravel, that overlies soil and is not intended to bear vegetation.
When to use
Apply once grasses and broad-leaved weeds have emerged and are actively growing (normally March to October). At least six hours, and preferably 24 hours, without rain must follow application.
How to apply
- Conventional vehicle-mounted or handheld sprayers: apply 1.3-10l/ha in 80-400l/ha of water, using a medium spray quality nozzle.
- Specialised ULV applicators: apply neat.
- Conventional rotary atomisers: use a spray volume of 10-40l/ha.
- Stem injection: use 2ml of neat solution per stem.
- Weed wipers: use 1 part herbicide to 1-2 parts water.
| Situation or type of weed | Application rate | Water Volume for conventional spray equipment |
|---|---|---|
| Annual weeds | 1.3l/ha | 80-250l/ha |
| Perennial grasses | 4.0l/ha | 80-250l/ha |
| Perennial broadleaved weeds | 5.0l/ha | 80-250l/ha |
| Grassland destruction | 3-6l/ha | 150-250l/ha |
| Enclosed water, open waters and land immediately adjacent to aquatic areas | 5-6l/ha | 100- 400l/ha |

Tank mix for existing weeds and a long-term barrier
It is an ideal tank-mix partner for our residual herbicide: together they control existing weeds and create a long-lasting barrier that prevents new weeds emerging.
| Tank mix component | Rates |
|---|---|
| Glyphosate Total Herbicide | 1.3-5l/ha |
| Residual Herbicide | 0.5kg/ha |
| Water | 300l/ha |
Additional Information
- Do not apply lime, fertiliser, manure or pesticides within seven days of treatment.
- Does not give acceptable control of horsetail.
- Avoid contact with non-target plants.
- Do not spray weeds suffering from drought stress.
- Do not spray in frosty conditions.
Active Substance: Glyphosate
Bio-chemical mode of action: glyphosate belongs to the Inhibition of Enolpyruvyl Shikimate Phosphate Synthase (EPSPS) group of herbicides, which work by shutting down the shikimate pathway the plant uses to produce the proteins it needs to grow and survive.
Mobility: glyphosate is a systemic penetrant, so it is carried downwards through the plant in the phloem (sugar-conducting tissues) and upwards in the xylem (water-conducting tissues).
Application timing: these herbicides work best on actively growing weeds and are generally more effective on younger plants in their vegetative phase.
Resistance: as of 2018, resistance had been identified in 38 weed species across 37 countries, in 34 different crop and 6 non-crop situations.
